    Regulatory Compliance

Judgment Recovery Is Not a Collection Agency

Because all judgments handled by our business are assigned to us, we operate as the legal judgment creditor and enforce judgments on our own behalf.

    This means:

    • We do not collect debts on behalf of others
    • We are not a third-party collection agency
    • We are not subject to FDCPA provisions relating to consumer third-party collections
    • We must avoid using words like "client," "represent," or "law firm"

These principles match nationwide case law and the judgment-recovery training framework used in our operations.

    Licensing

Most states do not require a collection agency license because we collect only debts we legally own.

    We comply with:

    • State civil procedure rules
    • Federal privacy rules (FRCP 5.2)
    • Permissible-purpose requirements of credit and skip-tracing vendors
    • Data security standards for sensitive information
    • All court rules governing assignment, filing, and enforcement

    Permissible Use of Credit Data

    We access data only:

    • For legally assigned judgments
    • With strict adherence to the end-user agreements of each vendor

Unauthorized access is prohibited and monitored.

    Data Protection

    We maintain:

    • Encryption in transit and at rest
    • Role-based access controls
    • Redaction rules compliant with FRCP 5.2
    • Secure document retention
